A common concern among people seeking help for problems with alcohol, drugs, or other personal matters is one of privacy and confidentiality.

The Federal Laws protecting the privacy and confidentiality of our clientele is quite possibly the most stringent of any group.  Our policy states:

The confidentiality of alcohol and drug abuse patient records maintained by this program is protected by Federal law and regulations.  Generally, the program may not say to a person outside the program that a patient attends the program, or disclose any information identity of a patient as an alcohol or drug patient UNLESS:

  • The patient consents in writing
  • The disclosure is allowed by a court order, or
  • The disclosure is made to medical personnel in a medical emergency or to qualified personnel for research, audit, or program evaluation.

We utilize the same policy for people seeking help for problems other than alcohol or drugs (i.e Anger Management, Domestic Violence, etc.).
